As I come to the end
of another course on my road to mastery; I would like to share some quotes on
child development to agree with my thoughts about the development of a
child.
Development,
it turns out, occurs through this process of progressively more complex
exchange between a child and somebody else--e specially somebody who's crazy about that child.
There's
one basic rule you should remember about development charts that will save you
countless hours of worry.... The fact that a child passes through a
particular developmental stage is always more important than the age of that
child when he or she does it. In the long run, it really doesn't matter whether
you learn to walk at ten months or fifteen months--as long as you learn how to
walk.
Children
allowed to develop at their own speed will usually win the race of life.

I would also like to
add to this post my thanks and gratitude towards those that I have made
acquaintance with during the previous eight weeks.
First to my instructor,
Dr. Joyce Myers; I knew you were going to be an awesome instructor just by
reading your name because I associated you with the well-known inspirational
speaker Joyce Myers. I am sure you get
that all of the time. You were very
helpful and knowledgeable about child development and also pushed me to learn
more by suggesting additional links for me to look at and comment on. Thanks you for being patient with my
mistakes in the beginning and for your correcting comments on the graded
papers. I hope that our paths cross
again in the near future.
Now to my colleagues, you
were all awesome and very knowledgeable about child development. I was glad to see some of you from our first
class and hope that we will continue on our journey toward mastery together. Each week I learned something new from your
discussion posts and/or blogs that you share.
I also appreciate your words of encouragement that you write in response
to my postings. Some weeks I am not sure
of what I post-if others would learn something from it. However, I always get such great responses
that I get a boost once I read them.
That is why I respond to every response I receive on the discussion
board. I would like to encourage each of
you to continue pressing on until you each reach your professional and
educational goals. Together we can all
make a difference in the lives of children and their families.
Thank you from you
colleague, Janine Campbell
