My Personal Research Journey

As I start a new course on understanding research: I have been instructed to choose a topic of research and to compose three subtopics related to the subject. The topic of research that I have chosen to study is the continuity of care.

This week I would like to focus on the subtopic of how does continuity of care benefit children in the infant and toddler stages in the social and emotional domain? My simulation process helped me to find articles to start my research.  I chose to use the ERIC database accessed through the Walden University online library.  I chose to write about finding relevant information on my research chart this week.  The textbook listed the ERIC database as a useful database and I found this to be true.  The database found 54 resources that contained the information based on my keywords.

I chose continuity of care as a topic because I have a goal of operating an educational establishment that offers continuity of care not just to infants and toddlers; but to children until they enter Kindergarten.  I would like to have documentation to prove that continuity of care will be beneficial to preschoolers in the emotional, social, and cognitive domains.  I ask that you my colleagues will forward information that you may come across that is relevant to this topic in order to help me conduct my research.  I in return will forward information that I find that is relevant to your research topic.
